2022 NFL Draft recruiting rewind: USC's Drake London to Atlanta Falcons

Coming out of Moorpark High School, USC's Drake London projected as a big-bodied future NFL wide receiver

USC Trojans wide receiver Drake London wasn't necessarily rated like a prospect one expects to wind up in the first round of the NFL draft, but he definitely had his share of believers.

Coming out of Moorpark High School (California), the 6-foot-4, 200-pound big-bodied playmaker had potential, but evaluators were split on how high he'd climb.

Turns out, he became a top-10 pick, going No. 8 overall to the Atlanta Falcons. 

Here's how London was rated as a high school prospect in the class of 2019:

247Sports

Ranking: 4-star prospect; Nation's No. 32 wide receiver, No. 36 player in California 

Notable: When one sees the ranking of "No. 32 wide receiver," it doesn't necessarily make clear how high 247Sports actually was on London.

Greg Biggins compared him to Keenan Allen and projected him as a high NFL Draft pick.

In other words, it's another solid evaluation for the site. 

Rivals

Ranking: 4-star prospect; Nation's No. 229 overall prospect, No. 36 wide receiver

Notable: Unrated by Rivals until his senior year, London skyrocketed up the list late and became a bluechip prospect.

It's clear the late-bloomer had some advocates.

Ranking: 4-star prospect; Nation's No. 277 overall prospect, No. 40 wide receiver

Notable: All three sites listed London as a bluechip prospect, but other than Biggins' evaluation, no one seemed to truly pound the table for him as a future star.
