DeAndre Gill, Kentwood 3-star defensive end and former UCLA pledge, commits to Colorado State as late 2022 addition

The recruitment of the class of 2022 has been over for most college football programs for months.
But after parting ways with UCLA late in the process, Kentwood High School (Washington) three-star defensive end DeAndre Gill spent much of the spring looking for a home.
On Monday, he finally found one, as the 6-foot-5, 210-pound edge-rusher announced his commitment to the Colorado State Rams:
Blessed to take my next step at an amazing program, let’s get to work!1000% COMMITTED!!💚🐏#RamGrit #Committed @CoachJayNorvell @coach_buddha @CoachBanks13 @Lgauthier_ @Adam_Pilapil @CSUFootball pic.twitter.com/dEugUBcSfb

Gill said the commitment was a massive relief.
"It's the best feeling," he said. "When you go through the situation I went through with UCLA, and finally find a landing spot, it's just a great feeling. It's relieving, not having to keep looking for schools this late in the process. It feels good knowing that I have a home."
But just not any home, as Gill describes it - a place he feels valued.
"It means a lot," he said. "It tells me a lot about the coaching staff. They believe in me. It's time to put in that work. I'm excited, ready to hit the field."
Gill intends to move to Colorado in June to begin summer workouts.
It took a long time, but the Kentwood star has finally found a home.
And for both him and his family, it was worth the wait.
