Picayune Memorial High School running Dante Dowdell was an absolutely dominant force in the state of Mississippi as a junior.

As a junior, the 6-foot-1, 207-pound ball-carrier led his team to a state championship while rushing for 2,555 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Having set a commitment date for Friday, Dowdell was down to a list of finalists that included Arkansas, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee.

Dowdell is rated the nation's No. 13 running back, according to ESPN, and is considered a 247Sports composite four-star prospect.

He is the fourth class of 2023 commitment for the Ducks, joining Basha four-star cornerback (Arizona) Cole Martin, Valley Christian (California) four-star wide receiver Jurrion Dickey and Layton Christian Academy (Utah) three-star defensive lineman Tevita Pome'e.
