Prediction: Oregon Ducks to land Under Armour All-American selection
The Oregon Ducks are neck-and-neck with the USC Trojans for the top recruiting class in the Pac-12 Conference.
Both programs are also fighting to break into the top-10 nationally.
After this weekend's visitors, Dan Lanning and his program may have taken a giant step toward accomplishing that feat.
Prediction: Iapani "Poncho" Laloulu to Oregon Ducks
Farrington (Hawaii) four-star interior offensive lineman Iapani Laloulu, the nation's No. 7 guard, had a stellar trip to Oregon.
"Oregon is very special," he said. "It's a very special place. I already love the atmosphere, I love the fans and I love the way the community will literally go beyond the world for the football team."
In fact, the 6-foot-2, 355-pound lineman, indicated he is now officially down to a final two of Arizona and Oregon and will be announcing his decision in the coming weeks.
Aiding Oregon's cause is the family connection.
Laloulu's brother, Faaope Laloulu, is a sophomore offensive lineman for the Ducks and the two have always wanted to play together.
"It would be a dream-come-true, you know," Laloulu said. "My brother said whatever decision I make he will support me, but for my parents it would be a dream-come-true for me and them, because they would always love to see us brothers stick together and go to college."
The Ducks have a top-15 class nationally, but don't yet have an offensive line commitment in the group.
That could soon change with Laloulu, who wants to announce his decision shortly after receiving his Under Armour All-American jersey later this month.
