When Lincoln High School (California) running back Roderick Robinson II committed to Chip Kelly's UCLA Bruins in late May it was seen as a major recruiting victory for the program.

Turns out, the battle wasn't over for the top ball-carrier in California.

The bruising 6-foot-1, 228-pound playmaker has regularly been in contact with Georgia, Oregon, Texas A&M, Miami and others since his decision.

This fall, Robinson has begun taking official visits to check out his options, including a recent trip to Texas A&M.

This weekend, Robinson is making a trip to Athens to check out the Georgia Bulldogs.

That could prove to be a huge trip for both Robinson and Georgia.

The Bulldogs have the nation's No. 2 recruiting class in the 2023 recruiting cycle, but have not yet addressed their future at running back.

Robinson would fit the bill.

Through seven games this fall, the rumbling bruiser has carried the ball 121 times for 1,501 yards and 21 touchdowns, averaging 12.4 yards per carry.
