Carter Bryant commits to Arizona; 2024 5-star picks Wildcats over Louisville
When it comes to landing big-time basketball recruits, the Arizona Wildcats have long been among the best of the best.
That won’t be changing in the next couple years.
Carter Bryant, the No. 1 small forward and No. 4 overall player in the class of 2024, committed to Arizona on Wednesday. The 6-foot-8 junior from Sage Hill (California) picked the Wildcats over his other finalist, Louisville, and other top schools Gonzaga and Duke.

With his commitment, Bryant became the second member of Arizona’s 2024 recruiting class. Four-star shooting guard Jamari Phillips from national powerhouse AZ Compass Prep chose the Wildcats in December.
Since 2003, a total of 15 five-star recruits have signed with Arizona, not including Bryant. Only four other programs — Kentucky (51), Duke (44), North Carolina (24) and Kansas (19) — have landed more five-stars in the 247Sports composite rankings.
As of now, Bryant is the ninth highest-ranked recruit in Arizona history.
