A closer look at Mason Williams, Miles Goodman: Dan Dickau's Starting 5

O'Dea (Washington) star Mason Williams and big man Miles Goodman, who recently transferred to prep school Southern California Academy, made up one of the most dynamic duos on the West Coast this past season.
In the first edition of "Dan Dickau's Starting 5," the SBLive Sports Vice President of basketball content breaks down their games.
Williams, an Eastern Washington pledge, is a combo guard whose best days on the court are ahead of him.
"Mason is the son of a great coach, and that translates onto the court," O'Dea coach Jason Kerr said. "He is one of the best leaders we have coached. Exceptional basketball IQ and studies film at the same level as a coach. His game is suited for the higher levels and is going to excel and get even better daily due to his work ethic."
As for Goodman, the class of 2024 big name holds early offers Montana, San Diego State and Washington, but is hearing for several other programs.
According to Kerr, who coached Goodman for three seasons at O'Dea, the forward has a chance to climb much higher than his current ranking as the nation's No. 90 overall prospect.
"Miles is, hands down, the hardest working big in the nation and, in my opinion, the best," he said. "With the growth we have seen in the last two years, he is no doubt a future pro. He is a dominant rim protector but can also get down in a stance and guard a 2/3. Offensively, he is positionless. He has run the point, played the wing, and dominated in the post. Miles has great ball handling, shooting, and passing skills that make him a 5 star player, no doubt. The sky is the limit for this young man.
Here's what Dickau had to say about Williams and Goodman as prospects in his scouting report:
