Isaac Wilson, nation's No. 14 quarterback and brother of NFL passer, commits to Utah Utes

Corner Canyon (Utah) four-star quarterback Isaac Wilson announced his commitment Wednesday morning

Class of 2024 quarterbacks have been flying off the board in the past few months as the nation's top programs secure their signal-callers of the future.

Entering the week, 28 of the top 30 quarterbacks in the country have come off the board. 

Corner Canyon (Utah) star Isaac Wilson, the nation's No. 14 overall quarterback, was the No. 2 on the list of undecided passers. 

Until Wednesday evening, that is, as Wilson, the younger brother of New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, committed to the Utah Utes.

The 6-foot, 190-pound playmaker chose Kyle Whittingham's program over offers from Arizona, BYU, Oklahoma State, UCLA and others. 

"I've been a Utah fan since I could remember and then we made that flip with Zach, who did his thing," Wilson told 247Sports, "but now I'm excited to do my thing, go back to our roots and go back to where my dad played. I couldn't be more excited to be committed to Utah."

The Utah product is the fourth pledge in the Utes' 2024 class - and the headliner.

He is also the second highest-rated quarterback for the program in the modern era, behind Mission Hills passer Jack Tuttle (No. 7 pro-style quarterback in 2018).

"Developing frame with decent growth potential considering bloodlines. Big-play quarterback who can dissect defenses with consistent accuracy. Shows a steady, quick release and silent mechanics. Displays ability to fit throws into tight windows at every level. Flashes good zip and arm action, but at times sacrifices top velocity for release speed. Can deliver the ball on time without setting his feet. Looks comfortable throwing on the run and does well to keep his eyes down field. Should continue to add confidence as he becomes more experienced. Could improve overall decision making and gain physical strength. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level."
