Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State pledge and nation's No. 1 prospect, catches TD pass ahead of Florida Gators visit

Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has been committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes since last December.
But that hasn't stopped the nation's newly-minted No. 1 overall prospect from taking visits to a number of suitors, including Florida, Florida State and Miami.
This weekend, Smith will be taking yet another visit to Gainesville to check out Florida.
But first he has a Friday night game against Lakewood.
And he doesn't seem distracted by the upcoming travel plans, as he caught a short pass along the sideline and turned it upfield for an easy 18-yard score:

Despite significant flirtation with other programs, Smith has stayed locked in to his Ohio State verbal commitment for nearly a year.
Ohio State's wide receiver development in recent seasons is definitely a feather in its cap, as is the program's commitment to offensive coordinator/wide receiver coach Brian Hartline.
For Smith's commitment to truly waiver, the Buckeyes might have to experience significant coaching turnover.
Until then, Florida's "Big 3" will continue to try to flip Smith, but it has proven to be a very tall task.
Can Florida move the needle with a visit this weekend?
We'll find out soon.
