Matt Johnson on Oregon Ducks: 'Those guys are real committed to winning a national championship'

De La Salle four-star defensive lineman Matt Johnson joined "Recruiting with Andrew Nemec" to discuss his recent commitment to Oregon

The Oregon Ducks are off to a hot start recruiting the class of 2025.

On this week's "Recruiting with Andrew Nemec" on ESPN-affiliate 1080 The FAN, De La Salle (California) four-star defensive lineman Matt Johnson joined the show to discuss his recent commitment to the program.

In a detailed interview, the 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive lineman laid out what stands out about the Ducks, and why California talent has been drawn to Eugene over the past few years.

"I really knew from close to the beginning of my recruiting process. They just kind of have everything I need there. They have probably the best facilities... in sports, just in general. The coaching staff is not going anywhere and those guys are real committed to winning a national championship, which is my goal, as well, before I leave college."

Johnson also discussed why it was so important to go somewhere that had bluechip athletes in the trenches and what he's learned playing for a storied De La Salle program.
