Evansville Bosse Forward Javen Layne led the way with 23 points as the Bulldogs beat Evansville Central Bears 65-54 in a game at Central.

Layne’s points came on 9 field goals and 5 of 6 free throws during the game.

Rayzel Joiner added 9. Evansville Central fell to 4-5 overall while Evansville Bosse improved their record to 1-0.

Evansville Central’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Feb. 8 at 4:00pm versus Evansville North.
