Thurston’s Mason Miller led all scorers with 23 points as the Colts beat Benson Tech 71-57 in a game at Benson High School.”

Miller’s points came on 9 field goals and 5 of 11 free throws during the game.

Benson Tech was led by Jaylen Russell’s 16 points and Emanuel Steward added 12. Benson Tech fell to 4-3 overall while Thurston improved their record to 1-0.

Benson Tech’s next game is scheduled to be played at South Albany High School on Thursday Dec. 21 at 3:00pm versus North Eugene.
