Newberg edges Canby 38-36

Newberg Wing Alexander Jaczko led all scorers with 16 points as the Tigers beat Canby 38-36 in a game at Newberg High School.”

Jaczko’s points came on 6 field goals and 4 of 5 free throws during the game.

Canby was led by wade brewer’s 13 points and ridzin miller added 7. Canby fell to 3-6 overall while Newberg improved their record to 7-7.

Canby’s next game is scheduled to be played at Tigard High School on Friday Feb. 16 at 7:15pm versus Tigard. Newberg will travel to Sherwood High School on Tuesday Feb. 13 at 7:00pm to play Sherwood.
