Hillsboro cruises by St. Helens 47-20

QB Curran Mitzel racked up 99 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to guide Hillsboro to a 47-20 win over St. Helens on Friday night at Hare Field.

The Spartans also recieved helpful efforts from WR Daekwon Mitchell who caught 4 passes for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns and LB Roberto Aguilera who rushed 19 times for 123 yards and 1 touchdown.

St. Helens’ QB Chase Parkhurst threw for 30 yards, RB Isaiah Bettencourt picked up 148 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and RB Conner Koelzer had 16 receiving yards.

The win helps Hillsboro improve to 1-3 on the season while St. Helens falls to 0-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Hillsboro travels to Milwaukie, OR to face off against the Putnam Kingsmen on Friday October 6 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
