Putnam cruises by St. Helens 56-6

Putnam High School -

RB Curtis Hoyle accumulated 100 receiving yards and scored 1 touchdown to guide Putnam to a 56-6 win over St. Helens on Friday night at Putnam High School.

The Kingsmen also recieved impressive efforts from RB Landy Wilson who rushed 11 times for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns and QB Marcellus Kenion who completed 2 passes for 100 yards and 1 touchdown.

St. Helens’ QB Leif Nelson threw for 62 yards, RB Conner Koelzer picked up 46 rushing yards and WR Dylan Kessinger had 42 receiving yards.

The win helps Putnam improve to 4-3 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Putnam will take on the Milwaukie Mustangs at home on Friday October 27 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
