Wilsonville crushes Hillsboro 52-14

RB Cooper Mootz had 136 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to guide Wilsonville to a 52-14 win over Hillsboro on Friday night at Hare Field.

The Wildcats also recieved impressive efforts from QB Nathan Overholt who completed 7 passes for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns and QB Grant Irby who completed 5 passes for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Hillsboro’s QB Curran Mitzel threw for 138 yards and 1 touchdown, LB Roberto Aguilera picked up 23 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and WR Daekwon Mitchell had 81 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

With the loss, Hillsboro falls to 0-3 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Wilsonville travels to St. Helens, OR to challenge the St. Helens Lions on Friday September 22 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
