Putnam cruises by Hillsboro 56-21

RB Isaiah Schumacher picked up 125 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead Putnam to a 56-21 win over Hillsboro on Friday night at Putnam High School.

The Kingsmen also recieved helpful efforts from RB Giovani Hernandez who rushed 8 times for 106 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Landy Wilson who rushed 16 times for 104 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Hillsboro’s QB Curran Mitzel threw for 105 yards and WR Daekwon Mitchell had 48 receiving yards.

The win helps Putnam improve to 3-2 on the season while Hillsboro falls to 1-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Putnam travels to Sandy, OR to challenge the Sandy Pioneers on Thursday October 12 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
