RB Colby Carson racked up 114 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to guide Sandy to a 24-7 win over Sherwood on Friday night.

The Pioneers also received impressive efforts from RB Kael Schilperoort who rushed 13 times for 62 yards and WR Glynne McGaughey who caught 4 passes for 44 yards and 1 touchdown.

Sherwood’s QB Gaven Evans threw for 50 yards, RB Ryan Scroggin picked up 124 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and RB Jacob Reuter had 51 receiving yards.

With the loss, Sherwood falls to 0-1 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Sandy will face off against the Mountain View Cougars at home on Friday September 7 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
