South Salem defeats Newberg 52-35

South Salem’s Victoria Stafford led all scorers with 14 points as the Saxons beat Newberg 52-35 in a game at South Salem High School.”

Stafford’s points came on 6 field goals and 2 of 3 free throws during the game.

Newberg was led by Renee Lee’s 13 points and Maddie DeVerna added 12. Newberg fell to 0-1 overall while South Salem improved their record to 0-0.

Newberg’s next game is scheduled to be played at McNary High School on Tuesday Dec. 5 at 7:00pm versus McNary. South Salem will travel to on Tuesday Dec. 5 at 6:45pm to play Canby.
