Newberg beats Lake Oswego 47-40

Newberg’s Giselle Benetti led all scorers with 10 points as the Tigers beat Lake Oswego 47-40 in a game at Newberg High School.”

Benetti’s points came on 2 field goals and 2 three pointers during the game.

Lake Oswego was led by Taylor Anders’ 16 points and Janie Ruttert added 7. Lake Oswego fell to 2-6 overall while Newberg improved their record to 2-4.

Lake Oswego’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Friday Jan. 5 at 7:15pm versus Lakeridge. Newberg will travel to on Friday Jan. 5 at 5:45pm to play Tualatin.
