Lakeridge defeats Newberg 49-40

Lakeridge’s Brooke Clinton led the way with 13 points as the Pacers beat Newberg 49-40 in a game at Newberg High School.”

Clinton’s points came on 1 field goal, 3 three pointers and 2 of 2 free throws during the game.

Newberg was led by Giselle Benetti’s 13 points and Renee Lee added 11. Newberg fell to 2-6 overall while Lakeridge improved their record to 8-5.

Newberg’s next game is scheduled to be played at St. Mary’s Academy on Tuesday Jan. 23 at 7:00pm versus St. Mary’s. Lakeridge will host Tualatin on Thursday Jan. 25 at 7:00pm.
