Canby crushes Newberg 61-31

Canby Post Alice Lambert led all scorers with 16 points as the Cougars beat Newberg 61-31 in a game at Newberg High School.”

Lambert’s points came on 7 field goals and 2 of 2 free throws during the game.

Newberg was led by Lexi Morace’s 12 points and Karly Fouche added 7. Newberg fell to 2-9 overall while Canby improved their record to 4-3.

Newberg’s next game is scheduled to be played at Lakeridge High School on Friday Feb. 16 at 7:00pm versus Lakeridge. Canby will host Lake Oswego on Tuesday Feb. 13 at 6:45pm.
