Photos: Bishop rolls to Game 1 victory over Banquete in Texas 3A Region 4 Baseball Quarterfinals

Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. in Alice

CORPUS CHRISTI - Bishop broke out the bats on Wednesday in Game 1 of their Texas 3A Region 4 Baseball Quarterfinals series against Banquete.

The Badgers scored early and often in a 10-0, five-inning, run-rule victory over Banquete. Tye Odom gave Bishop an early lead with a first-inning home run and the Badgers never looked back.

Right-hander Brian Buchanan picked up the win for Bishop, allowing just three hits over five innings. 

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. in Alice.
