CORPUS CHRISTI - Sharyland Pioneer rolled to a 7-1 victory over Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial in Game 1 of the Texas Class 5A baseball regional quarterfinals on Thursday at Whataburger Field.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg.
