Texas (UIL) 6A state baseball: Pearland pushes past Austin Westlake into championship

Pearland's bats got going and didn't look back as it punched its ticket to the Texas (UIL) 6A state championship game.
The Oilers put up four runs in the third and blew the game open in the fifth inning en route to an 11-1 win over Austin Westlake in the semifinals on Friday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
Pearland will play Lewisville Flower Mound, which beat Cypress Woods in the other 6A semifinal, on Saturday at 4 p.m. for the Class 6A title at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
