Frisco Liberty defeats Mansfield Timberview 60-51 to win UIL 5A state title in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — Jacy Abii scored a game-high 30 points to lead Frisco Liberty over Mansfield Timberview 60-51 on Saturday afternoon in the Texas (UIL) 5A state girls basketball championship at the Alamodome.

Abii connected on four 3-pointers and had a game-high 12 rebounds for the Redhawks (34-7). Aziyah Farrier finished with 16 points in the victory including three 3-pointers.

Frisco Liberty, which claimed its second consecutive 5A state crown, outscored the Wolves 16-4 in the final period. 

Emilee Jones led Mansfield Timberwolves (40-2) with 23 points while Chrishawn Coleman had 17.
