WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Michael Cornia scored 24 points and Walla Walla rode disciplined defense to hand Kamiakin its first loss of the season, 74-65, avenging a season-opening blowout on Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils kept Kamiakin forward Tyler Bilodeau off the court in foul trouble for much of the second half. Still, the Mid-Columbia Conference's breakout star finished with 27 points — 22 in the first half. Junior guard Dillon Wasser chipped in 18 points for Wa-Hi (8-1).
