Photos: Slinging in the rain! Sumner holds off Skyview in wet 4A first-round encounter
The seventh-seeded Spartans travel to No. 2 seed Eastlake in next weekend's state quarterfinals.

SUMNER - It was more a matter of survival at rain-socked Sunset Chev Stadium - and the sixth-ranked Sumner Spartans held off Skyview, 24-10, in Class 4A first-round action.
Jay Mentink had three interceptions for the Spartans' defense, which posted a second-half shutout.

Bo Carlson threw a touchdown pass, and Eric Buck added a rushing score as Sumner built a 17-0 first-half lead.
