TACOMA, Wash. — Xavier Kamalu-Vargas scored 16 points on 8 of 10 shooting and No. 7 Mt. Spokane continued its run into the 3A state quarterfinals with a 70-45 win over No. 9 Mountlake Terrace on Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.

The Wildcats' 25-point win was their first at the Tacoma Dome this season. They earned a first round bye in the tournament after beating No. 2 Auburn in the regional round on the road.
