Gavin Brubaker, Curtis baseball: Delivered three strong relief innings after the Vikings had given up a 6-1 lead and Camas tied the game at 6-6. He struck out six and gave up just one hit, no walks nor earned runs and made contact on the game-winning hit to help Curtis finish third in the 4A District 3/4 championship.

Sam Davidson, Mt. Spokane baseball: His game-winning RBI lifted the Wildcats past Southridge 4-3 in a loser-out district game to earn a regional round berth.

Amari Goodfellow, Auburn baseball: Delivered one of the Trojan’s three home runs in the 3A District 3/4 semifinals and pitched a complete game in the finals in a 3-1 win over Peninsula.

Miles Gosztola, West Seattle baseball: The junior ace may have given up his first run of the season, but he struck out 10 and led the Wildcats to a 3-1 win over Eastside Catholic to win the Metro League championship and earn the top seed in the 3A state tournament.

Andre Korbmacher, Squalicum boys track & field: Broke the state record in the 110 hurdles at the District 1 2A North-Sub Districts Meet with a time of 13.68 seconds, surpassing Steilacoom’s Daniel Zmuda’s 13.84 in 2013.

Mason Miller, Toledo baseball: Tossed a five-inning no-hitter in a 10-0 2B District 4 tournament win over Ilwaco.

Dash Sirmon, Walla Walla boys track & field: First, his 213-1 3/4 javelin throw at the Oregon Relays was the best mark of the spring to date across the country (before it was recently surpassed). Last weekend, he set a new PR in the long jump with a state-best 23-0 at the Mid-Columbia Conference Championship.

Brayden Twaites, Ellensburg baseball: Had two hits, including a triple, scored a run, stole a base and earned the save in a seventh-inning relief pitching stint in an 8-5 win over Selah in a district title game, nabbing a fifth-straight state berth.

Chloe Pattison, Lake Stevens girls track and field: Also a standout basketball player Pattison dashed to a personal-best 43.64 in the 300-meter hurdles, taking over the No. 1 mark in Washington this spring. The senior’s time came at the 4A Wesco championships, and she is the only girl in the state with a sub-44-second finish.

Crimson Rice, Shadle Park softball: The sophomore first baseman went on a home run-hitting spree, hitting blasts in three consecutive 2A GSL games against Clarkston and Rogers of Spokane (twice), all victories. She drove in 10 runs in her combined 10 at-bats.

Thomsen also notched the pitching victory in relief, reports the Everett Herald.

Mallory Vancleave, Ridgefield softball: The sophomore shortstop had four hits - three for extra bases - as the Spudders routed Columbia River to finish 2A GSHL play undefeated at 20-0. Finley Caringer, Skyline softball: Caringer was dominant at the plate using both her power and speed in the 4A Kingco playoff games against Redmond and Eastlake. She went 6-for-8 with three runs scored, two stolen bases, one RBI, and had zero strikeouts. She also hit a three-run home run and drove in a run in the seventh to tie the game and force extra innings in the semifinals of Kingco 4A playoffs.
