Tahoma's Rick Tripp voted SBLive Washington Coach of the Week
Tahoma boys basketball coach Rick Tripp has been voted SBLive Washington's Coach of the Week (Jan. 23–28).
Knowing how important the state RPI is about to become with the playoffs looming, Tripp and his crew traveled to Skyline, the state's top 4A RPI team.
The Bears pulled off the upset in overtime.
Tripp received 53.63% of the vote.

Brady Bomber, Lynden Christian girls basketball – Bomber added to his list of accolades as the Lyncs' coach with a win over Blaine that marked career win No. 200 in his ninth year leading the program.
Derek Lopez, Lake Stevens boys wrestling – In his first year as coach of the program, the Vikings captured their 14th Wesco 4A title in team history after toppling Glacier Peak, 60-19, in a meet last week.
Ryan Peplinski, Saint George's boys basketball – A win against Chewelah last week was a special one for Peplinski as the victory gave him No. 400 at the helm of the Dragons.
Allen Thomas, Timberline boys basketball – Plenty was at stake last week for the Blazers against Gig Harbor and Timberline proved to be the Tides' Achilles heel yet again, pulling out the 54-48 win to take control of the 3A SSC race.
