2024 Garfield quarterback EJ Caminong staying in Pac-12, commits to California

After a string of official visits to Oregon State, Texas A&M, Brigham Young and California, Caminong picks the Golden Bears

Garfield High School quarterback and 2024 prospect EJ Caminong has found a new home - but to the same conference he had previously pledged.

After announcing his decommitment to the University of Washington earlier this month, Caminong took to social media Tuesday night to share his commitment to California, remaining in the Pacific-12 Conference.

Caminong had taken his official visit to the school last week.

Caminong initially committed to his hometown Huskies last October before decommitting.

At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Caminong is a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com, and is the No. 9 overall prospect and top-ranked quarterback in Washington state in the 2024 class.

Caminong is the only quarterback listed in California's 2024 recruiting class so far.
