With the 16-team field set for regional round of the 2023-24 WIAA Class 2A boys basketball tournament, here is SBLive WA’s weekend overview of the matchups, players to watch — and game score predictions:

Two-time defending state champion Lynden has won 13 of past 14 games, including the 2A District 1 title game, and tested Lions will look for a three-peat next week in Yakima.

One of several talented scorers in this bracket who can pour in points, Anacortes 6-foot-6 point guard Davis Fogle has already cleared 800 points this winter, averaging 32.4 per game.

Skinny: Prosser has fast-paced offense, and put up season-best 90 points in winner-to-state game last week, but two-time state tournament MVP Anthony Canales and Lions appear ready for another run at title.

8 p.m. Friday, Grandview High School

Skinny: 2A CWAC District 5/6 champion Greyhounds finished at No. 1 in the WIAA RPI rankings behind skilled guard play, but will have to slow down Pirates team that won 2A District 8 title as part of active five-game winning streak.

Pick: Grandview, 68-63

8 p.m. Friday, Tacoma Community College

Skinny: Get ready for a fast-paced contest between two offenses that feature guards who have eclipsed school scoring records this season in North Kitsap’s Cade Orness and Mark Morris’ Braydon Olson.

Pick: North Kitsap, 76-74

No. 4 Renton (18-6) vs. No. 5 Anacortes (20-5)

6 p.m. Saturday, Bellevue College

Skinny: Renton is on 10-game streak after thrilling overtime upset of North Kitsap in 2A District 2/3 title game, but Seahawks feature one of bracket’s most dynamic scorers in four-star guard Davis Fogle.

No. 9 Pullman (16-6) vs. No. 16 Enumclaw (16-8)

6 p.m. Friday, Cheney High School

Skinny: Pullman has reached at least the final four in this bracket each of the past two seasons, and consistent Greyhounds program returns to Yakima behind steady defense.

Pick: Pullman, 64-52

Skinny: 2A EvCo champion Bearcats have won eight of past nine games, but Sammamish has played well in postseason, playing top-eight teams Renton and North Kitsap to one possession in past two weeks.

Skinny: Both sides feature talented guard play, but which makes a trip to Yakima? R.A. Long has advanced past two seasons, while Bremerton is looking for a trip to a tournament site for the first time since 2010.
