Laidley Field to host the West Virginia football state championships

The West VA Secondary School Activities Commission (WVSSAC) knows where they’ll be hosting their high school football state championship games at moving forward.
According to Coalfields & Co., the West Virginia high school football state championship games will be held at the University of Charleston’s Laidley Field.
Laidley Field in Charleston will now be the host of the West Virginia High School Football State Championships.

According to a report by the River Cities Tribune & Register, Laidley Field beat out Wheeling's Wheeling Island Stadium, Bluefield's Mitchell Stadium and a joint bid between Huntington's Joan C. Edwards Stadium and Morgantown's Milan Puskar Stadium.
Laidley Field is located in the heart of downtown Charleston, West Virginia and has a seating capacity of around 18,500.
