Longtime Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger played his first career game against his former team on Friday. Bellinger signed with the Chicago Cubs this offseason after the Dodgers didn't tender him a contract. The Cubs have had two games against the Dodgers this spring, however, Bellinger hasn't been in the lineup for either of them. On Friday, though, the time finally came.

Bellinger was in the lineup batting fifth for the Cubs, and Dodger fans had a very weird time seeing him on the other side. I don't know if it was the fact that he was in a different uniform, the fact that he was wearing No. 24 or all of it, but Dodger fans shared a wide range of emotions on Twitter.

It was probably weird for Bellinger to be back out there against his former team, but I'm sure it was nice for him to get this first one out of the way before the regular season started.

The Cubs are coming to Dodger Stadium early this season — April 15-17 — so that's sure to be an interesting weekend for Bellinger and Dodger fans. I assume he'll get a nice welcome upon his return — just hopefully he doesn't play very well!
