Dodgers Relief Pitcher Hit By Comebacker, Leaves Game Against Texas Rangers

The hope is that he won't be out very long.

Dodgers relief pitcher Blake Treinen exited the team's game against the Texas Rangers on Saturday after being hit by a hard comebacker. It looked to hit him in his abdomen.

Comebacker by Sam Huff hits Blake Treinen near the abdomen. Treinen was down for a minute. He is now out of the game, walking off the field.

With the Dodgers season starting in a few weeks, Treinen was expected to be one of the key members of the bullpen. Treinen went down for a minute but was able to walk off the field.

It's a rib contusion for Treinen, according to Juan Toribio of MLB.com. He is still in the process of getting X-rays done.
