Dodgers Send Multiple Players, Including Landon Knack to Minor League Camp

A whole lot of cuts for the Boys in Blue.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made their first cuts of spring training, and some surprising names made the list.

The Dodgers announced the cuts on Sunday, and there are a total of 11 players, including right-handed pitcher Landon Knack

Another surprising name to make the list was their top prospect and outfielder, Andy Pages. Pages has been fantastic to start the spring, hitting two home runs, eight RBIs, and an OPS of 1.500.

Non-roster invitees Jesse Hahn, Michael Petersen, Travis Swaggerty, Eduardo Salazar, and Stephen Gonsalves were reassigned to the minors.

All the 11 players who were cut are on the 40-man roster. Although these players are not eligible to be on the Opening Day roster, they can still participate in the rest of the Cactus League games.

Knack was spectacular before the cuts, putting up a 4.50 ERA, seven strikeouts and 0.50 WHIP. He has only allowed one hit and two earned runs in four innings.

Cartaya and Frasso are two players who did not participate in spring as they are dealing with injuries. Frasso may not pitch in 2024, and Cartaya could be ready by the time the MiLB season gets underway.

Vanasco, Gonsalves, and Hahn have also played a part this spring. This is the first of cuts this spring; the next wave should be coming soon as the regular season approaches.

Right-hander River Ryan was also re-assigned to minor-league camp.
