Former Dodgers Relief Pitcher Reacts to Cody Bellinger Signing

These two are reunited once again.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers reliever and Chicago Cub Yency Almonte is happy to have his former teammate, Cody Bellinger, on his side again.

Almonte took to X early Sunday morning and reacted to the Cubs' re-signing Bellinger late Saturday night.

Almonte and Bellinger were teammates with the Dodgers for one year in 2022.

ESPN's Jeff Passan was the first to announce the Cubs and Bellinger agreeing to a three-year, $80 million deal. The deal comes after an incredible first year in Chicago, where he looked like his MVP-self Dodger fans fell in love with.

Almonte spent the last two seasons with the Boys in Blue. He recorded a 3-2 record, 3.35 ERA, 82 strikeouts, 3.99 FIP, and a 1.14 WHIP in 83.1 innings and 82 games in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old was traded to Chicago this past offseason with Michael Busch in exchange for Jackson Ferris and Zyhir Hope.

The two are together once again, this time in the Midwest.
