Welcome to another of our daily game threads. Saturday marks the third of four versus the DBacks at Arizona. First pitch is at 5:10 p.m. PT on SportsNet LA.

Highlights from Friday's game include a a glorious Puig-like Mookie Betts throw from the right field corner to peg Ketel Marte at third base (see below), Dodgers home runs by Betts and Corey Seager and a solid four-inning, one-hit, no-run start by Tony Gonsolin (who was sent down for Mitch White this morning).

Pretty much has to be White for the ninth. He’s heading out tomorrow for Kersh.

Taylor is a streak hitter. Watch out now, opposing pitchers.

They needed a game like this. May it continue.

With the 0-4 tonight Muncy is now hitting a cool .150 as a leadoff man in 2020.

Maeda vs Cleveland today: 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 Ks. He’s 2-0 and 1.64.

Seeing what Betts adds to the team when he clicking, it gives me chills thinking that Friedman could’ve signed Machado to a similar contract. 🤢

Graterol throws one high and inside and is suspended for 8 games?

Old friend Matt Kemp hit his first homer of the year for Colorado tonight. He’s at .375/.545/.875 as a Rock in 2020. Rox lead SD 6-0 in the sixth at Coors.

That oughta do it for Urias. Two earned in six and 89 pitches. Exactly what player and team needed. #Dodgers

Kind of lost in the offense waking up, Urias putting in work tonight. Looks like he belongs.

Mookie-Seager-Turner combo is sweet...when Belli and muncy heat up, watch out!
And Pollock playing like he did in Arizona. Potent offense.

We #Dodgers fans get a little spoiled with so many really young guys coming up and excelling immediately, and with all the ROYs. But sometimes guys take a little longer and breakout at 26, like Rios now and Beaty last year.

Wow! Offense is really in gear.

Rios is so good, they're afraid of throwing him out lest they anger him.

That’s good hitting by Joc. Just poked it into left for a run.

Just took pointing out this pitcher was, as Barkley would say, "Turrible" and the floodgates open. Everyone grab a bat! Get well!

Tough night for Weaver, but he’s got a career in front of him.

I guess I just had to point out that this pitcher wasn't very good. My work here is done.

#Dodgers  with two out and RISP, prior to today: .256/.448/.349. Room for growth but a decent start. @DodgerVic

To Roberts’ credit, he uses the running game with success. Mattingly didn’t even know it was legal. #Dodgers

Resort batting order, there is still time.

Mookie Betts has played 568 games leading off in his career and 84 batting second with similar stats in each spot. So if leading off hurts Muncy, which it does, there’s little room for manager weirdness. #Dodgers

Muncy leading off lifetime: .242/.405/.394. Batting second lifetime: .260/.399/.578. What’s so complicated? #Dodgers

Muncy!

Howard Cole
Howard Cole

I realize it’s a tiny sample size, but Muncy is at .294/.400/.882 with a double and three homers batting second. He’s 3-17 with a double leading off. And 0-8 leading off an inning. #Dodgers
