Will Smith Breaks Silence on Social Media Following Dodgers NLDS Exit

Keep your head up, Mr. Smith!

It’s been almost a week since the Dodgers were swept out of the playoffs by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and it still feels a bit unreal. It’s been a frustrating time for fans as they process another massively disappointing performance from this team.

But as always, we move forward to get ready for the 2024 season. But before we do that, we have seen multiple members of the team post to their social media to reflect on the season that just happened.

One of the most recent players to make a post has been catcher Will Smith, and he called the Dodgers fans the best in baseball.

Smith was one of the few members of the Dodgers who actually showed up to play in their three-game series against Arizona. After all the talk about his struggles down the stretch of the season, Smith shut everyone up with his play.

He hit .417 with five hits and two runs batted in over the three games, and he was easily the most consistent player for the team. Smith did his best to help keep the Dodgers alive, but the rest of the guys couldn’t help pick up the slack.

Smith has turned himself into one of the best catchers in the entire game, if not the best. He made his first All-Star team this past season after the honor eluded him for a few years.

He finished the 2023 campaign hitting .261 with 19 home runs and 76 runs batted in. Smith also had a WAR of 4.1 and an OPS of .797 for the year.

Now a veteran of the sport, Smith will use the offseason to get himself right for next season. He continues to be a very valuable member of this Dodgers team and will be going forward.
