2023 NBA Draft: Golden State Warriors Official Selections and Draft Grades

Who did the Golden State Warriors select in the 2023 NBA Draft?

The Golden State Warriors are just one year removed from their last title, but with a potential roster shift on the horizon, things could look drastically different in the Bay area soon.

Regardless, superstar and former unanimous MVP Stephen Curry, who continued to be one of the NBA's best players last season, is sure to be a mainstay on the roster.

Armed with just one first round selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, Golden State looked to add another young prospect to their already growing young core of Jonathan Kuminga, Jordan Poole, Moses Moody and more.

Here’s how the Warriors’ draft unfolded:

Draft Summary

On Wednesday, Golden State acquired veteran point guard Chris Paul in what is sure to be one of the more surprising moves of the offseason. Despite that, Paul fits Golden State's ball-moving system well.

On Thursday, they drafted a guard in Santa Clara's Brandin Podziemski who will be similarly versatile, potentially as early as next season. Podziemski saw his stock skyrocket over the last year, eventually landing him as the No. 19 pick in the draft.

In Golden State, he'll be able to play both on or off-ball while offering up his shooting versatility, two-way defense and high-IQ play, making it a seamless fit.

The Warriors also took a flyer on big man Trayce Jackson-Davis, who saw one of the bigger slides of the night. Still, Davis could be shockingly impactful in the NBA.
