Harrison Ingram Could be a Second-Round Steal in the 2024 NBA Draft

North Carolina's Harrison Ingram could provide value in the 2024 NBA Draft as a rotational player found in the second round.

The 2024 NBA Draft has been criticized as a weak draft class but North Carolina forward Harrison Ingram could help round out the depth in June.

The Tar Heel could slide to the second round, but Ingram should be projected as an instant impact player. While the North Carolina product does not have star upside, the tools-y swingman could be a difference maker off the bench.

Ingram at 6-foot-7 is capable of making every pass, with the potential to set the table for a secondary unit at his size coupled with his catch-and-shoot ability (39 percent) to make him a threat away from the ball as well, he is a versatile weapon on both ends of the floor.

The Tar Hell is a pesky defender with the size and athletic ability to switch 1-5 Ingram is the perfect modern-day defender with a baseline that makes him playable right away on that end and upside that could have him as the best defender on whoever drafts him.

Another skill sure to translate is his rebounding ability. On top of not being scared to mix it up down low, Ingram understands the timing and angles needed to secure a rebound. With a motor that never lets him get out worked on the glass.

While the majority of the draft process has still yet to play out, if Ingram remains in second-round territory he will be a likely candidate to fly up draft boards in a re-draft in record time.
