Top Matchups in Wednesday’s NBA Summer League Slate

In this story:
Monday’s Summer League slate featured a variety of fun matchups between the NBA’s newest crop. And Wednesday’s is sure to see similar results.
Five games will take place, including those who held the top two selections in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Here are some of the best matchups to look for:
Heat Versus Kings
There’s a plethora of talent in Wednesday’s Miami-Sacremanto matchup, headlined by the potential appearances of upcoming sophomores Keegan Murray and Nikola Jovic.
But there’s also a host of former collegiate upperclassmen to look for, including Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kings duo Colby Jones and Jalen Slawson.
Brandin Podziemski versus Brandon Miller
Two players who had solid Summer League debuts are set to face off on Wednesday: Warrior's guard Brandin Podziemski and Hornet's forward Brandon Miller.
Miller was shaky to start on Monday, picking up several early fouls. But he found his rhythm in the fourth, finishing with 18 points. Podziemski was similarly impactful, pouring on 12 points, six rebounds and six assists against the Kings.
Chet Holmgren and the Grizzlies
After missing his entire first season due to a foot injury, Chet Holmgren is set to be a 2023 rookie.
On Wednesday, he and the Thunder, who currently have the top odds to win the Las Vegas Summer League, will take on a tough Grizzlies squad that includes David Roddy, Kenny Lofton Jr., Jake LaRavia and 2023 draftee GG Jackson.
Rookie of the Year runner-up Jalen Williams, who scored 21 points in 22 minutes of play on Monday, could also see more action.
