Report: Kevin Durant 'Less Than Enthralled' With Ben Simmons

The Brooklyn Nets have a lot to figure out

It is yet to be seen whether or not Kevin Durant is content with the Brooklyn Nets trading Kyrie Irving for Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith, but a recent report did suggest that the superstar forward is "less than enthralled" with Ben Simmons.

"Yet whether or not Durant wants to remain in Brooklyn with Irving — the only other star on the roster — out of town is unclear," Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reported. "Ben Simmons has missed the last four games with left knee soreness, but sources familiar with Durant’s thinking tell the Daily News the star forward has been less than enthralled with Simmons, who is averaging just 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and six assists per game on a max contract in Brooklyn."

This should come as no surprise to anyone, as Ben Simmons has hardly been the player Brooklyn hoped he would be when they traded James Harden for him last season. Struggling to stay on the court, and lacking production when on the court, Simmons has not lived up to his contract. The Nets are in a very unique spot with the former All-Star.

Should Kevin Durant also seek an exit from Brooklyn after his partner Kyrie Irving was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks, it seems as if the Nets would have a very difficult time finding someone to spend assets for Ben Simmons as well.
