Trae Young Reacts to Nets Trading Kyrie Irving to Mavericks

Trae Young was shocked.

When the NBA trade deadline approaches, things start getting crazy. Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks shocked the NBA world, including even players, when the big trade was announced.

The Brooklyn Nets traded Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris to the Dallas Mavericks for the following package: Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, 2027 second-round pick, 2029 first-round pick (unprotected), and 2029 second round-pick.

Multiple NBA players immediately reacted, including Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young.

The sheer fact of how quickly the deal moved was something that shocked almost everyone. Kyrie Irving requested a trade on Friday, and by Sunday he was already gone. It took roughly 48 hours for the Brooklyn Nets to decide they wanted to trade Kyrie Irving and that the relationship was done.

Before the season started, Kevin Durant wanted to request a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. Durant was convinced to stay, and somehow he's now left all alone after he had a team that comprised of Kyrie Irving and James Harden.

Moving forward, the Brooklyn Nets likely aren't done making moves, but what remains to be the most interesting thing is what Kevin Durant does moving forward. Will the team try to get more pieces to make the Nets a championship contender again with Durant? Or will Kevin Durant only want to be on a contender and request a trade from the team in the near future? One thing is for sure, the NBA world will be watching with popcorn in their hands.
