The 2026 NFL Draft features a strong crop of defensive tackle prospects. A handful of interior lineman such as Ohio State's Kayden McDonald and Florida's Caleb Banks are expected to come off the board relatively early. Shortly thereafter, we'll get into the deeper names at the position group.

There will be late-round value for NFL teams searching for run stoppers and rotational contributors at defensive tackle. A handful of underrated prospects project as immediate impact players. We've identified the most underrated interior defensive prospects.

2026 NFL Draft: 5 Late-Round Value Picks at Defensive Tackle

Gracen Halton, DT, Oklahoma

Oklahoma defensive tackle Gracen Halton has been super impressive throughout the pre-draft process. His ascension began at the Senior Bowl, where he gave offensive linemen fits in pass protection. Halton then went to the NFL Combine and displayed elite athleticism by running the 40-yard dash in 4.82 seconds while weighing roughly 295 pounds. The former Sooners standout is a little undersized, but athleticism and first-step quickness led to 13 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks over the past two seasons.

Domonique Orange, DT, Iowa State

Before the pre-draft process officially started, Iowa State nose tackle Domonique "Big Citrus" Orange was viewed as a potential top-50 prospect. An injured ankle prevented him from physically participating at the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine, and Pro Day. His pre-draft stock has suffered as a result. Indications are Orange will hold a pre-draft workout for teams in April. On tape, he's a pro-ready run stopper with arm length (33 ⅜”), massive hands (10 ¼”) and explosive power.

Rayshaun Benny, DT, Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines asked Rayshaun Benny to be a selfless defender. The lack of high-end statistical production has led to him being a little underrated throughout this process. The Detroit native had 12 tackles for loss as a three-year contributor (2023-25) with 91 total tackles. Benny has more upside to explore at the next level due to length, strength, and active hands.

Landon Robinson, DT, Navy

Navy's Landon Robinson is undeniably a fun evaluation. The First-Team All-American was snubbed from the NFL Scouting Combine despite registering 6.5 sacks for the Midshipmen a year ago. The American Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year also notched 64 tackles, with 8.5 for loss. Robinson is undersized at under 300 pounds, but his initial quickness and red-hot motor should lead him to capturing a high-energy rotational role on an NFL defense.

Kaleb Proctor, SE Louisiana

Southeastern Louisiana defensive tackle Kaleb Proctor may be the biggest sleeper at the position. The Southland Conference Player of the Year recorded nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2025 as a highly explosive and productive player. Proctor went to the NFL Combine and measured in at 291 pounds with 33-inch arms and 9.5-inch hands before running a stellar 4.79, and leaping a 33-inch vertical and 9-foot-5-inch broad jump.
