Is 2025 Topps Dynasty F1 Finally The Rival to 2020 Topps Chrome?

For years, 2020 Topps Chrome F1 has been seen as the standard for any modern motorsport product in the Hobby. It's considered as the "rookie set" for every driver part of it, regardless of the true year they debuted, and some cards have sold in the upper six figures.
No other set released since then has even come close to the sales numbers of 2020 Topps Chrome F1. That is until last March, when a bunch of grails from the 2025 Topps Dynasty F1 release sold for staggering prices that haven't been seen since four years ago.
A Record-Breaking Kimi Antonelli Led The Charge

Mercedes wonderkid and current F1 World Drivers' Championship frontrunner Kimi Antonelli is one of the hottest names in the sport, and the same can be true for the racing world's side of the Hobby. His 1/1 Race-Used Jumbo Zipper RPA from 2025 Topps Dynasty sold for $111,000 through auction just last month.
This particular card is the ninth highest-selling F1 card of all time, the most expensive Kimi Antonelli product ever sold, and the most valuable non-2020 Topps release ever. Unlike Topps' 2020 releases, which were considered rookie cards for every driver, this is considered one of Antonelli's true rookie cards since he only started racing in 2025.
The GOATs Are Still Popping

Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest racing drivers that has ever lived, and he's still going with Ferrari in 2026. His 1/1 Race-Worn Patch Auto from 2025 Topps Dynasty F1 further reaffirms his popularity and desirability within the Hobby, as it's the only other card from the set that sold for six figures.
His former championship rival Max Verstappen isn't that far down the list either with his 1/1 Race-Worn Patch Auto card selling for $79,301 through auction as well.
The Set Features Drivers of The Future

In 2020 Topps Chrome F1, the set's biggest hitters were already established drivers with multiple years in the sport already under their belt. For 2025 Topps Dynasty, high-end cards of the younger stars are what have been attracting collectors.
Gabriel Bortoleto's most expensive card from the set even beat out Max Verstappen's by over $10,000. That just shows how much the market is leaning towards the potential of these drivers to consistently win races and become World Champions.
While the sale prices are still far from the record amounts set by 2020 Topps Chrome, there really hasn't been a lot of competition as to what is seen as the best F1 card set out there. 2025 Topps Dynasty makes a strong case and could even be the set that jumps up the most in price soon, depending on how the drivers perform.
Kimi Antonelli's sharp rise to superstardom, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen's eventual retirements, and even a move to a more competitive team for someone like Gabriel Bortoleto would quickly make these cards, along with the entire F1 market, more valuable in the near future.
