4-Star Wide Receiver Marcus Harris Lists Alabama in Top 5

Harris could join linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr. as the second Mater Dei 2025 prospect to commit to Alabama football.

College football recruits from the 2025 class have been relatively unfazed by all of the chaotic changes to Alabama's coaching staff since Nick Saban retired, and on Monday, 4-star wide receiver Marcus Harris listed Alabama in his top five.

The Crimson Tide sits alongside Oregon and SEC rivals Georgia, Tennessee and Texas as Harris' finalists. Harris received an offer from Alabama on Feb. 4 by new co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard, who followed new head coach Kalen DeBoer from Washington.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder out of Mater Dei and from Santa Ana, Calif., is ranked as the consensus No. 152 prospect in the country, No. 19 receiver and No. 15 player in the state. Additionally, he is the top-ranked receiver in the state.

Harris posted a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday during the second spring scrimmage. This wasn't his last visit though, as he'll be returning on May 31 and staying through June 2 for an official visit. He'll have official visits for the other top-5 schools as well during that time as Alabama is second after Georgia on May 18-20.

Only one of Harris' Mater Dei teammates from the 2025 class is currently committed to one of his top-5 schools, and that happens to consensus 4-star linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr., who announced the Crimson Tide will be his next chapter on March 21. After Sanders committed, Harris reposted on X with two emojis: a pair of eyes followed by an elephant.

If Harris selects the Tide, he'd be the ninth commit from the 2025 class and the second receiver, joining consensus 4-star Derick Smith.
