The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program had quite a week with two home victories over Tigers. Let's get into that and more on the Monday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show".

First we begin with a quick shoutout as the Alabama gymnastics team defeated the Florida Gators on Friday to keep its conference record unblemished. The team was lead by Luisa Blanco who won the all-around and Lilly Hudson who scored her second career 10.

Next we dive headfirst into basketball as the Crimson Tide scored over 100-points for the sixth time this season. Spirits seem much different this Monday, one week removed from recapping a big loss to of conference rival-Tennessee, after beating both Auburn and LSU at home.

The Crimson Tide is back in first place in by a half-game over the Volunteers, but did the two wins do more for the team than just simply count as victories over conference foes?

What did Aaron Estrada and Grant Nelson find out about themselves that can serve as lessons to benefit the team further?

With the SEC season one-third of the way finished let's start looking at the remaining schedules for the conference crown contenders. Tennessee still has a home-and-home series with the Kentucky Wildcats and must make the trip to Tuscaloosa, giving the Vols plenty of opportunities to slip up.

Alabama has road trips to Auburn and to Kentucky, meaning the battle for the regular season conference championship has a long way to go before its all said and done.
