• First Quarter

• Alabama captains today are senior Trevon Diggs (defense), junior Henry Ruggs III (offense) and junior Thomas Fletcher (special teams).

• Southern Miss won the toss and will receive.iss at Alabam

• Bama defensive line includes freshmen Justin Eboigbe and DJ Dale.

• Alabama scores first on a 3-play, 54-yard drive. Tua to Ruggs for 45-yards and a TD. 12:08 to go first quarter, Tide up 7-0.

• Tua Tagovailoa passed Jalen Hurts on Alabama's all-time passing list with that last TD pass to Ruggs..

• Jordan Battle is again playing the 6th DB role on passing downs and already has made one good play with a near PBU.

• USC QB commite Bryce Young has been spotted on the Alabama campus today.

• With his second TD catch Ruggs is now second all time to Amari Cooper in career TD receptions. He passed teammate Jerry Jeudy. 

• Kendall Randolph checked in as an extra TE wearing no. 85.
• At the end of the first quarter Bama is driving and up 14-0.

• 2nd Quarter
• Tua hit Najee Harris for a 5-yard TD to make it 21-0. 11 play, 91-yard 5 minute drive.With Reichard's third PAT the Tide is up 21-0 with 14:17 to go in the half.

• Joseph Bulovas will handle Bama's fourth kickoff and it's a touchback.

• Redshirt sophomore Phidarian Mathis is in for Raekwon Davis at RDE.

• Redshirt junior Ben Davis is still a starter on Bama's punt return unit.

• Jerry Jeudy is now tied with Ruggs for 2nd all time after a 17-yard scoring strike from Tua. Bulovas hits the PAT to make it 28-0 with 10:55 to go in the half. Drive was 4 plays, 56 yards in 1:51. It's not a good day to be a punter for the home team.

• Sophomore Josh Jobe is in at RCB for Alabama. He already has a tackle.

• Jaylen Moody is in for Shane Lee at MLB.

• Tua is the first in Alabama history to have consecutive games of 4 or more TD passes.

• Radio and TV reports say freshman PK Will Reichard will not return due to a lower extremity injury.

• No word yet on why Jobe has replaced Shyheim Carter. Maybe a precaution.

Third Quarter

• Bama wastes no time on it's opending drive of the second half. Tua has his 5th TD pass of the day again to Jeudy for 20 yards capping a 77-yard drive. Bama leads 35-7 with 13:12 left in the third.

• Following a second quarter personal foul late hit on Josh Jobe, Shyheim Carter is back in the secondary for Bama.

• Mathis has replaced Dale (who seemed to roll an ankle) at nose guard.

• Battle recovered a fumble forced by Mathis. Bama takes over at it's own 32.

• Contemporary Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman is on the Alabama sidelines today His daughter is a UA student.

• The "Slade Cat" made an appearance as Bolden pitched to Najee Harris for a 17-yard gain with Bolden at QB.

• After DeVonta Smith drew a PI penalty, Brian Robinson powered in from the 6 and Bulovas boots it to 42-7 with 5:43 to go in the 3rd. 68-yard drive. 

• DJ Dale has reportedly left the stadium to have his ankle examined and will not be back today.

• Freshman Darian Dalcourt and senior Matt Womack in at C and LG.

• Najee Harris has 110 yards on 14 carries. He's Bama's first 100-yard rusher since Damien Harris vs LSU last season.

• Fr Jahleel Billingsley and John Metchie in for Bama. Bolden at WR.

• Jr Scott Lashley and R-Fr Tommy Brown are in at OT's.
